Remote Rebuild. iLO Questions
-
I have a remote HP ML110Gen9 2012R2 server that needs to be rebuilt.
Here's what I see of iLO within System Management Homepage:
There is a single cable going to the server into LOM1Port1.
I know newer HP servers share LOM1Port1 with iLO not sure if it does in this server???
I'm not an iLO expert but I think having the iLO management CPU allows you to access the host console pre OS boot, post reboot which would allow me to boot from a USB or DVD and allow me to rebuild the server.
I'm hoping someone with more iLO experience may be able to help me with getting this iLO an IP address???
Thanks for any help. -
You shiuld have a left column menu with a dedicated ilo section.
If a shared port is present you should see it in the ilo networking settings.
Last time I deployed an hpe w/ shared port ilo notified it in network settings. Also hpe sku should give info on hpe dite.

Like most out of band systems you are able to mount a remote iso and install os like with virtualbox, to say.
If you have the proper ilo licence... -
Also the ilo networking general info menu should show who is using a nic
