PalmOS Finally Going Open Source

Sort of. The last Palm OS, webOS, was supposed to go open source in 2012 under HP's stewardship. LG then bought the product and now, webOS is finally open source and available. It's still an ancient OS that probably no one wants to use, but it's the thought that counts. Oddly, LG still uses webOS in their products.

Remember when HP wanted to do some the best compute device, and it was something with linux and RAM and storage, and its gone now. oh THE MACHINE .. yh thats HP for you.

LG uses it in some of their TV's and works pretty decently for today's technologies.

I loved the Palm Treo4 that was my first smart phone. Nice for nostalgia sake at least.
