Get Started with Powerline on Ubuntu
-
Powerline is a cool addition to your Linux command line and doesn't take much to get working. On Ubuntu, all we need to do is...
sudo apt-get install powerline
Then edit your ~/.bashrc file by adding this snippet to the very bottom:
if [ -f /usr/share/powerline/bindings/bash/powerline.sh ]; then source /usr/share/powerline/bindings/bash/powerline.sh fi
That's it, now you have Powerline on Ubuntu with BASH.

I use it on Fedora. You can have it output what Git branch you are on. It's a pretty awesome tool.

Is this the right project?
