VmWare ESXi 5.0 Unable to install drivers into CentOS7
-
Searching for a valid kernel header path... The path "" is not a valid path to the 3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x86_64 kernel headers. Would you like to change it? [yes]
Nor does any of the other steps that I'm seeing. Anyone know how to make this work?

As @John-Nicholson pointed out yesterday... ESXi 5.0 is ancient and out of support. Update that thing.

Yeah. . . . . not an option.

Can you use centos 6.9?

From the vmware esxi doc
CentOS 7
64-Bit Guest OS Support
Release Supported Releases Support Details
CentOS 7.x Workstation12.5, 12.0, 11.0
Fusion8.5, 8.0, 7.0ESXi6.0 U3, 6.0 U2, 6.0 U1, 6.0, 5.5 U3, 5.5 U2, 5.5 U1, 5.5
Even just getting to 5.5 would get you support for centos 7. Upgrading esxi only takes a few minutes. I suppose if it is running something that "needs" to be on all the time it might be a problem. although it does look like 6.X is supported in esxi 5, and centos 6.x still getting updated regularly.
