Overclocking your brain???

So this is insane. Sending electricity through your brain to improve nueroplasticity, and precharge your nuerons to fire faster when needed, effectively making your brain work faster and retain more information. Is it just me or is this some serious stuff? I'm not sure what to think. Is this an effective product? Or is the marketing just relying on the Placebo Effect?
I would be in line to buy one, but I'm a little too afraid that this could create nuerological deterioiration, or cause recurring issues. Maybe even a lower ability to use the mind effectively when not using this device? If anyone is brave enough to try one, let me know what happens. I'm honestly intrigued, but I'm even more suprised that it's being marketed to gamers. Couldn't it have more important and relevant usage? -
More important than gaming? Who are you?

@scottalanmiller xD I mean for the use of say, medical treatment. I need one of these in place of energy drinks for late nigh work

I'd be up for this.
Simply in order to not get divorced, so I can retain all the "orders" from the wife.
Do you need this device to help access the data you have written? If not, this would be awesome to assist in studying for exams.

I'll stick with GTD, thanks.

It sounds cool, but I'd like some sort of scientific data sheet to prove any findings before I sink $250 into an electro static massage theorapy machine for your forehead.

I'll stick with mine.

I was surprised that I was the first to bring up the reference.
The only question I have now is can the newer sleeker version help me to figure out time travel? beyond the flux capacitor of course.
