@scottalanmiller I'm not saying it doesn't enforce it, I'm saying so far I'm not feeling that it actually teaches it.
DL doesn't really teach anything, it seems to expect you to learn only through failure.
And that's where the posts are helpful. Or comments rather, on every question they ask you.
I post a LOT on there. I've been the one to update a large number of their questions.

Awesome
In Spanish, at least.

Rocking it today...
-
-
And the day isn't over. I'd have been doing a lot more if we didn't have company over visiting. And my phone is dead.
-
I'm still a long way from maxing out Spanish. Even though I capped on levels long ago. They need to add a lot of levels, you level out long before you finish just getting crowns, let alone going through the lab stuff or stories!
-
It would take me well over 400 lessons to get that many points in a day. And they are each worth 15 points if you don't get anything wrong, and take 5 to 10 minutes each if you don't need any instruction.
It's literally impossible for me. No other ways to get points for my language. 40 hours straight time to get that many points.
That's not even fair lol.

Just takes hard work

How many crowns have you earned in Swedish?

41, but I have been heavily preoccupied on other things lately.

That should be a high priority for you, don't you think? LOL

There have been much higher priorities the past 2 months, believe me... ones that would render DL useless!

End of the day...

What does Spanish have in DL that allows you to get mass points like that?

That's not just Spanish, it's from a range of languages. They all move at the same pace. Spanish as the stories, but those are actually slower, not faster points. Because they take a long time and max around 30 points for the effort.
I got a lot of those points in Swedish, for example
-
I get bored if doing Spanish that much all day. So I threw in French, Italian, German, Swedish for fun.
-
On a 73 day streak. Doing ten languages now. Over 5,000 points yesterday! Woot
-
I can't recall my username, but I did sign up because my wife did and I selected German as she had and on the first day, in a couple of hours or so, I just sat there and went through about half of all the available lessons/checkpoints/whatever available just to irritate her before I got bored with it. It's really easy when there's no challenge at all. I then tried Spanish and it was much slower, much, much, much slower when you don't speak the language. Learnin's hard
Edit: I see now they have way more languages, they didn't even have Russian, only Ukrainian for some weird reason, back when I signed up. I think I might sign up for the Hungarian one to see if I can recapture any lost childhood skills since now if I try to speak Hungarian it sounds like someone that was thrown from a moving vehicle and landed on their head. When I was a small child I did much better, I only sounded like one of those moronic children people barely understand, rather than as an adult someone totally incomprehensible.

New app out this week. Works way better for me on Android.
