Picked up Mass Effect 1 & 2 thanks to the ML tip off. Firing up Mass Effect now
It's been agesJust watched an 'MASS EFFECT (Honest Game Trailers)' and about died laughing...
I'm not very proficient with FPS games.. I do have the XBox 360 - maybe I should find a used copy of it, and see when I have some down time.. and the kids are home. since I'm sure there will be some language not suitable for children under 30....
I don't like the FPS aspects, so I turn the difficulty all the way down and the action becomes more cinematic. Yes, you still have to do it, but you can be pretty casual and sloppy for all but the most intense parts.
It does have some adult moments, but few and far between. Very kid friendly for the bulk of it.
The trilogy is simply amazing if you are into SciFi. I highly recommend that you read the books along with it, it makes the story even deeper. There is one novel that goes before the start of each game.

That's how Halo is. The story was pretty good but if you read the books, it gets into the whole background of the Spartan program, how they chose the candidates, some of the interactions and stories of individual Spartans, including Master Chief aka John. I read the first five books or so. I read all about the Fall of Reach long before the game ever was released. Great books!

Yup, I play games for the story. If I want a challenge, I want an intellectual challenge, and I play a puzzle game. Like someday I will completely beat the 2048 Alphabet game. You can, in a perfect game, get an O. I've gotten an M a few dozen times. Still yet to get an N, but I've come close!

The three games together, and the three novels, are a single, integrated storyline. The story is touching, the character development is excellent and the plot twists and surprises are excellent.

Yup, agreed. I still never finished the third game. I got bored near the end of the 3rd one. I want to replay it with all the DLC!

ME3 is awesomesauce. Can't believe you get that far and then get bored. There are all the twists and answers at the end.

It's been agesOne of my favourite games EVER!!
Have you played the entire trilogy before?
1 and most of 2. I think I got 90% of two done on the xbox version but I got cranky at it and gave it back to the person I borrowed it from.
Ā
Yet to play 3 -
