Trying to figure out what is wrong with this SBS2008 server that refuses to back up.
I need a solid backup before I can move it to Hyper-V. You know, in case boom..
It's SBS. I found your problem.

Nah, SBS has worked great for years as long as you always use the built in wizards.
Now, it is on the migration plan for this fall to move off it though.

So this on a posting "The candidate should demonstrate prior knowledge of most of the following: • SQL Server administration and reporting • ERP/MRP Reporting • Windows Server administration • Hyper-V with Failover Clustering support • Microsoft Dynamics NAV • C/AL, C#, VB, VB.net and PowerShell • Networking including firewalls, routing, VPNs, and SANs"
So do you want a DBA, Systems/Network Admin or a Software developer?

3 out of 7 isn't bad right? Oh this wasn't a test?

I think this one may be worse for an IT Specialist. "Education (Transcripts Required): Completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree"

A lot of the time these jobs are posted after staff has left and HR has zero clue what to ask for to fill the position so they shotgun it

Also the reason I apply for things that ask for more skills than I possess - once you ask some pointed questions you can get a better feeling for what they really want

I general don't want to be involved with a company that expect me to know how to program even though I know a bit of VB.Net and java. SQL is fine to an extent as it's normal I've had to administer it before but it's not my strong point.

@thecreativeone91 Yup, you have to be comfortable with what they are going to ask of you
