Seagate SAS SSD Hits 60TB Capacity

SSDs have now totally and completely based spinners for storage capacity. The capacity game, in size per square inch, is likely over for forever. Spinners still win on price, but for how long?

This requires a 3.5" form factor, unlike most SSDs. But that means that in RAID 6 a stock Dell or HPE server in 2U could do 600TB!

I was reading up on this, Seagate expects the price per GB to be even cheaper compared to current SSD's as well.

So it's a big jump for SSD's.

Now comes the question of how reliable are these when build in an Array.... oh the math...
