@scottalanmiller Right now I am using DO, however this is temping. Which would you pick?

Very simple loads. 1 wordpress web server, and a screenconnect server. - all personal.

The price is great and the capacity (quad core, 2GB) is pretty awesome. Very limiting on OS but very tempting to check out. Only three nines SLA, that's pretty low. But you know me and SLAs.

I wouldn't just switch. But I think I'll be getting one to play with. Worth looking into.

The issues will be ScreenConnect for the reason mentioned and anything that comes up in the future. When you know your workloads, this can work great. When your workloads regularly change, not so much.

What distro will you use? I am going to run a sar and server bear.

OpenSuse would be my first choice. I don't see CentOS as available. Ubuntu is available and I use that when it makes sense.

Where is our jumpbox setup guide?

How do you know when to use one flavor over another?

I feel like it is pretty low, but we'd have to look up some old ServerBear results from some other servers.
