Just a Little Earthquake (5.9)

On July 28th we had some storms off in the distance and were doing laundry here at the condo and heard some huge rumblings. Kept running outside to see if a storm was upon us but there was only lightning so far off in the mountains that we never heard the thunder. We were very confused about the rumbling because it was so loud.
Turns out we had a 5.9 earthquake just a kilometer or two over the border in Columbia. Shoot Panama pretty hard.

Wow... glad it didn't adversely affect your day. Hope no one was injured

No, 5.9 is just enough to get the earthquake newbies to panic (we heard from people in El Valle that people were freaking out in town) but doesn't normally cause the slightest damage.
