As some of you know, Microsoft is pushing very hard in Windows 10 that all users will take MS updates pretty much as MS releases them.
Considering that even just last months updates, Update 3058515 broke the normal installation method for ActiveX controls, one wonders if they will ever get it right?

They probably won't ever be perfect, but at least we now have an unwilling unwitting pool of guinea pigs to test it for us

I do realize at this level it can't be expected to be perfect. But at the same time, to hold everyone to near hostage moving forward doesn't seem right either.
Perhaps I'm expecting more problem than really exists?

@Dashrender well, to be honest, it's no where near as bad as it used to be. The last time I recall a real bad one was the office 2007 file validation plugin that laid waste to office productivity everywhere.
Another point is that this saves companies some cash as lots of the beta testing for common software will already be done for them by joe public.
Also, it's no change for corporate users. We still all get WSUS tossing stuff out monthly.

I don't think WSUS will work for Windows 10. From what I understand, with Windows 10, you can can get some control, but it's all handled through Microsoft's own servers. You'll have a logon to a console there. WSUS will still be usable for Windows 8.1 and older.

I won't miss WSUS but it was useful as heck - I hope they maintain the functionality and reporting in the new system, whatever that may be.

Windows 10 pro and enterprise will still integrate with WSUS fine, We've already been using for windows 10 updates. You can use WUFB to extend WSUS functionality.
