Encryption favorites?

I'd prefer a stable/secure whole disk encryption like we used truecrypt. for laptops and high traffic PCs.

CipherShed is TrueCrypt. What changed that you liked it before but not now?

what about veracrypt?
I've had a few problems with truecrypt where the bootloader would get corrupt, and of course the user lost the rescue disk....

Do they have the ability to use bitlocker?

windows 7 pro almost across the board.

No idea but it's the same code as the last truecrypt (TrueCrypt 7.1a.)

@scottalanmiller since you recommended it, can you vouch for it? I dont want to have the same stability issues as before. veracrypt took 2-3 minutes to boot, that's not okay with me, ain't nobody got time for that.

never used this but might work, http://www.axantum.com/axcrypt/

@Hubtech 3 mins on? spinning rust / hybrid / ssd?

known "non issue" with veracrypt. the developer says it's because of the added security.... makes it unusable for doctors lol.
