      So,

I'd love to have a centrally managed encryption (domain) for a client of mine. What are you guys favorite encryption packages and why? Are any of them reasonably priced(subjective I know)?

what about standalone free encryption since truecrypt is kinda dead now.

What are you looking to get out of encryption/how do you see it working in that environment?

There is https://ciphershed.org/ which is truecrypt really. It relies on the user to actually do the encryption though.

I'd prefer a stable/secure whole disk encryption like we used truecrypt. for laptops and high traffic PCs.

CipherShed is TrueCrypt. What changed that you liked it before but not now?

              what about veracrypt?

I've had a few problems with truecrypt where the bootloader would get corrupt, and of course the user lost the rescue disk....

                    https://ciphershed.org/pre-alpha-testing-started/

they say not to use it in production. what's wrong with it?

No idea but it's the same code as the last truecrypt (TrueCrypt 7.1a.)

@scottalanmiller since you recommended it, can you vouch for it? I dont want to have the same stability issues as before. veracrypt took 2-3 minutes to boot, that's not okay with me, ain't nobody got time for that.

known "non issue" with veracrypt. the developer says it's because of the added security.... makes it unusable for doctors lol.
