Adobe and Avid software would be great. Autodesk already has smoke for linux. As well as Lightworks from editshare but its a bit old fashioned

Someone mentioned on reddit they would chose Auto Cad just for the sake of bringing more users to linux.

I really like this Conduit thing that came with my free wallpapers... I wish that would get ported over.

The way that he capitalized means MS SQL Server. It's true name is actually "SQL Server" like he wrote. We put MS in front of it like Chevy Malibu, but the car is still just a Malibu, and it is made by Chevy.

MS SQL Server is a pretty amazing database. Open source has some serious competitors, not sure I'd use MySQL as the example 😉 But MS SQL Server is actually at the top end of databases these days. They are competing with the best of the best on everything but price.

PostgreSQL is the big leading in the open source space, very much on par with SQL Server.

Winamp. I mean there are similar alternatives which run on X, but the little things are missing, and the worst part is that Winamp isn't even that great, and in fact it's kinda crappy.

Everything else is already available if it's worth using.

I do second @scottalanmiller though on Microsoft SQL Server and I'm honestly surprised that Microsoft hasn't done this, but I really know it's because, like Exchange, it's strangled with so many COM+ objects, API calls, etc that porting it isn't really going to happen, instead the base engine and T-SQL parser is what needs to be ported.

@tonyshowoff WinAmp is stuck in the 90's still. It's better than iTunes but that's not saying much.
