      hi every one .

i need some help if you dont mind. i have a Gsm Gateway and voipswitch. the problem im facing is i add normally a wholesale client to the voipswitch so he can start send traffic.

but the thing is he start sending like a Fake calls or i dont know what they are to be terminated to our VOIP Gateways. but non of them made a perfect call they just do a miss call one ring and close.

more the 4000 calls but all of them ring and close ring and close. can some one explain to me what are they trying to do.

it sounds like you are allowing anonymous inbound sip calls. You'd need to block that. We can be more helpful if you provide use with the device manufacturer and model number.

@thecreativeone91 im using 2n gateway and voipswitch.com. we found a solution by filtering these number in voipswitch so they dont pass. the thing i want to know why most of the voip companies do this sending fake calls

The voip companies aren't sending them.. People/bots on the internet are. your voip provider just relays what they get to you, It's up to you to secure it. That's like asking why does my the ISP or Backbone providers stop SSH bots etc. Because to them it's just traffic and It's not their job to do it or know what the traffic is

How would they determine a real or a fake call? They are all the same.

Think of it like you have a phone at home. Sometimes you make calls to your cousin to see about going out for dinner tomorrow. Then your kid makes a prank call to a restaurant and asks for a patron with a silly name. There is no way, looking at the voice traffic, to know which calls are real and which are prank. When you hear the call it is pretty easy to determine, but humans can determine these things in ways that computers cannot. And even humans often fail - or else prank calls wouldn't be funny. And even if they could make the judgement call, the voice trunk provider doesn't have the right to block calls, nor the responsibility, nor any incentive.
