That is pretty scary. Fortunately he had someone with him that pulled his chute. I'm hoping that that jump place was also using auto deploy chutes that pop at 1000 ft.

That would be horrific, all your limbs and muscles clenched / spastic and then someone pulls your 'chute open. Ohhhhh that would suck the next day. Better than splat, but... ugh.
