Dead Professor Teaching Classes

How much better are universities than just watching videos on YouTube? I think this sums it up...

This actually happened to me, as well, but not with an online class. I had a class that I was forced to take as independent study. Every time I had an appointment to see the professor he wouldn't show up and the staff would make some excuse for him and reschedule. They spent a whole semester playing this game before I discovered that he had died at the beginning of the semester and the school had been covering it up the entire time as he had no replacement.

This will be a great example to use when someone tries to tell me of how university brings all this value that reading a book or watching a video or doing something for yourself doesn't do. The professor, the one piece of the puzzle that theoretically you can't provide at home for yourself, is one piece that the university doesn't have and no one noticed. It's not just that they tried this stunt, but that the students were getting so little from their professors that no one noticed!
At least a "professor" on YouTube is likely to respond if you ask questions!

If I meet my demise in the near future, I know my RHCSA practice session videos will live on.

And that some university might list you as faculty and sell your as the professor to their students!
