Yup, our MFA is affected. Good thing I was already on the VPN.

Garmin Connect is out too. I had suspected ransomware round 2 but I’m glad that there’s an alternative explanation

Doesn't CenturyLink include Level3 now? Uck, that's a lot of infrastructure, and explains my morning.

Chadwick Boseman: Netflix postpones Ma Rainey's preview

Netflix delayed a virtual preview event for the film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom on Monday, following the death of its star, Chadwick Boseman.
The film adaptation of August Wilson's play, about the queen of the blues and her band in the 1920s, will be his final movie performance. Boseman, who appears alongside Viola Davis and Colman Domingo, died of cancer last week aged 43. Tributes have been paid by producer Denzel Washington and Michael B Jordan. The Black Panther actor's diagnosis was kept entirely private and came as a shock to many in the film industry and beyond.

Alexei Navalny: Russia opposition leader poisoned with Novichok - Germany

There is "unequivocal proof" that Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny was poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent, Germany has said.
Chancellor Angela Merkel said he was a victim of attempted murder and the world would look to Russia for answers. Mr Navalny was airlifted to Berlin in a coma after falling ill on a flight in Russia's Siberia region last month. His team says he was poisoned on President Vladimir Putin's orders. The Kremlin has dismissed the allegation. he foreign ministry in Moscow said the Novichok allegations were not backed up by evidence and the Kremlin spokesman called on Germany for a full exchange of information.

Germany children deaths: Bodies of five found in flat in Solingen

The bodies of five children have been found in a private apartment in the city of Solingen in western Germany, police say.
They gave few initial details about the discovery, with no information about the cause of death.
Emergency services were called to the residential block in the Hasseldelle area of the city on Thursday. Police are reportedly treating the incident as a criminal act, and are expected to give further details later. According to unconfirmed reports published on the German news website Bild, the five children were aged from one to eight. A sixth child, reportedly aged 11, was said to have survived. Few details about the children's parents have been given, although there are unconfirmed reports that the mother, 27, attempted to kill herself at a train station in Düsseldorf.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson: Actor and family had Covid-19

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he and his family had all contracted Covid-19.
The former wrestler, who is now the world's highest-paid actor, said he, his wife and two daughters caught the virus despite being "disciplined" about health protection. He said the positive tests were "a kick in the gut". Now, he added: "We're on the other end of it and no longer contagious. Thank God, we're healthy." Johnson and his family live in the US, which has recorded more than 6.1 million coronavirus cases and over 185,700 deaths linked to the disease.

Portland suspect shot dead by police during arrest

Police in the US have shot dead a man suspected of fatally shooting a right-wing activist during protests in Portland, Oregon, officials say.
Michael Reinoehl, 48, a self-described antifa supporter, was filmed shooting the man during last weekend's tension, and admitted to it before his death. Reinoehl earlier said he acted in self-defence when he shot Aaron Danielson, a supporter of the Patriot Prayer group. Police said he was armed and was shot during a confrontation with officers. Black Lives Matter protests have been taking place nightly in Portland since the killing of black man George Floyd in May. Last Saturday Trump supporters held a large rally and fought with anti-racism protesters in violent exchanges. Reinoehl, who regularly attended the protests, had told Vice News that he had thought he and a friend were going to be stabbed by Danielson. "I had no choice. I mean, I, I had a choice. I could have sat there and watched them kill a friend of mine of colour. But I wasn't going to do that," he said.

With regards to the article, if the insulin market is roughly $24 Billion, why doesn't one of our great US philanthropist Billionaires (Aka Bezos, Gates) throw about $300 Mil at a new company and sell it dirt cheap (just above costs) directly to the pharmacies and just solve the problem.

Between the two of them, they could whip it up in about 6 months and proceed to use Amazon's distribution system to supply the pharmacies (via drones) in 6 hours or less. Heck, do the same thing for the Epipen. Two real world, in the moment, problems solved. Millions of parents save hundreds of dollars and millions of children living better lives.

Seems pretty simple till you put Government Regs, FDA and lobbyists in the middle.

Generally because they are not allowed to in the US. The US medical market is government controlled, not a free market.

That's illegal. You are forgetting patents. The US gov't determines who may and may not make this stuff. You can't just make it even if you have the resources.
