Windows 10 1809+ Clipboard history

Hi guys, today we will introduce a new feature of windows 10 1809 - clipboard history.
As we know, copy and paste are among most common operations. We do a lot of copy and paste every day. But what do you do if you need to copy the same few things again and again? How do you copy content across your devices? It is hard to imagine before.
With Windows 10 1809, we will have a new clipboard experience. You can paste from the clipboard history, pin the frequently used items and sync your clipboard across devices running Windows 10 1809 or mobile devices with a compatible app.
Press win + v to turn on the Clipboard History feature.
Press win + v again, it will present the clipboard history.
Click on the X, you remove the item.
Click on the PIN, you keep the item even when you clear clipboard history or restart your computer -
@Dashrender Just turned it on and am playing with it. I was curious how much data it would hold.
The history will persist past a system restart so you have to be proactive about keeping it clean. Sensitive information shouldn’t be stored there but to make sure that it’s still usable, you should trim the items on the clipboard regularly so that only important items are kept long term. There doesn’t seem to be any limit on how many items it can store but since this is a native Windows 10 feature, you can expect it to store a reasonably large number of items.I have used ClipX daily and extensively for years. I am going to try Windows Clipboard history for a while. Although the Windows Clip history is probably more easily compromised

Why would you say that?
Because there are many more bad actors devising ways to hack Microsoft products. And when they do, it becomes easier for other bad actors to compromise Microsoft products.
I'm not saying MS is bad at development, just that they are the biggest target with the most resources developing ways to hack them.

Because there are many more bad actors devising ways to hack Microsoft products. And when they do, it becomes easier for other bad actors to compromise Microsoft products.
I'm not saying MS is bad at development, just that they are the biggest target with the most resources developing ways to hack them.
OK, I suppose I can follow that - but you really think that CopyX is somehow more secure than Clipboard history? Don't they both use the clipboard? that thing is pretty much open to anyone, so I don't see how it would be any more or less secure - I would say they are likely both the same level of secure....

Even though they both read the clipboard whenever it changes, ClipX doesn't store the history the same way Windows Clipboard History does. Since Microsoft is a larger target, I still think they will be compromised before ClipX.

what do you mean they don't store it the same way? you know that for sure?
