Getting ready to get on the road and drive upstate for the holiday. Bit wintery storm due to hit our home tomorrow morning so we are getting out of here tonight to get ahead of it.

I am going to be driving five to six hours to get up to Rochester tonight. But at least I get to relax up there for several days with the family.

Woke up this morning to the smell of smoke and water bombers circling overhead.
There was a fire on the outskirts of town. -
Cursing myself for not working harder on my resume this weekend. Came in to bad news today for the future of our department and watched my two coworkers scurrying around trying to make excuses and save themselves instead of constructively working out a solution to the problem.

Now heading home to see the bottom of a few bottles of courage and see if I can muster up another attempt at long term employment. SMB/SOHO is a tough row to hoe some days.

I'm at my dad's watching the kids. We made it out of downstate before the blizzard hit. Boy are we glad. Nice and clear up here.
