New Gmail UI

The side panel is pretty helpful. It was always strange to me that I couldn't look at my calendar and my email at the same time.

Yeah, that was too limiting before.

So far so good, the G-Suite account I have still doesn't have the change but it looks slicks and faster.

I had a quick look at it. It's pretty good as far as UI updates go. Orders of magnitude better than Outlook but I'm quite happy with the old one.
I'm glad my theme ported across nicely but the layout styling does feel a bit cartoonish.
In saying that, I'm certain that I could get used to it and be happy bout it.It's also much better than that attempt to "declutter" but having those silly category tabs at the top. That was gross.
It probably is time for an update a it's been ages (if ever?). I like it how Gmail doesn't update the interface constantly for seemingly no reason (looking at you Outlook(dot)com).
I've left the 'new' UI on for now. I'll try it out for a bit.

Am I missing something? I didn't get a prompt to see the new UI.

Yeah, you have to be in the Early Adopter Program to get it for G Suite.

@kelly Not really an EAP like in the past. It is now a setting in the admin console. I enabled it yesterday and am using the new interface on both work and personal accounts.

Is there a tier that you have to be at in order to see it? Or should it be listed no matter what?
-
@wls-itguy no. ctrl+shift+r while in admin console. Or try to sign out from your google account and sign back in.

It is not listed on mine yet, but those are the instructions.

@murpheous @WLS-ITGuy According to Google it is an EAP item.
