      Blame Serbia, or Kosovo, but whoever's fault it is, the electrical grid in the EU has lost six minutes of cycles over the last few months and many devices that depend on the perfect sync of the electrical grid are now "off". But don't go changing the time, the grid is going to push out more power and get things back in lock step again, at some point. For now, clocks really are off by six minutes on appliances.

        The fix seems like a bad idea to me. Also, it's not "more power" just more cycles.

          I dont think this is how devices in US keep time without ntp, at least not anymore. They generally use quartz

          Though i shouldnt be surprised. We routinely get asked to make our equipment talk to 1970s gas and diesel generators.

            It’s actually more power. Each cycle carries the power.

              US, UK, Nordic countries don’t use this system. Just mainland Europe.
