      Don't get too excited from the title. The procedure doesn't look that easy/reproducible. I emailed Linode support and asked them if they had an easy process for custom distro setup, similar to one of their competitors (Vultr). They sent me to the site below.

      https://www.linode.com/docs/tools-reference/custom-kernels-distros/running-a-custom-linux-distro-on-a-linode-vps

      I'd like to use them to see how a FreePBX box runs on Linode, but without an easy way to install the distro, I'm not sure if I'd use them for PBX installs.

      What does everyone else use to host PBXs?

        Vultr and Rackspace. But FreePBX has a solid procedure for installing without the ISO, so Linode should be fine.

          I thought I remember you saying recently that you guys had issues with PBXs on Vultr and were moving away from them. Am I remembering incorrectly?

          Is there a reason why you don't have any PBXs on Linode yet? Is it just a timing thing?

            No one but @scottalanmiller has ever said that.

            No one but @scottalanmiller has had any issues.

              @JaredBusch

              I have 2 boxes on Vultr right now, and so far, I haven't heard any complaints yet. But I was concerned when @scottalanmiller mentioned he was having issues. I'd like to hear more and if he is still having issues.

                Actually it wasn't me directly having the issues. It was @Mike-Ralston. So clearly, I'm not the "only" one.

                  @scottalanmiller Are you still having issues, or was it temporary?

                    Haven't been able to get him to test further. I'm assuming the issue was Mike since no one else has issues and he's not reproduced them for me to test.
