      I like this!

      http://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/compact-digital-cameras/coolpix-p610.html

And just to share, Go Pro has released a new product called Karma https://shop.gopro.com/karma

      And the Hero 5.

Osmo+ is due out in a week, too.

I sure like the GoPro KnockOffs for their value. A $100 knockoff rivals a $300 gopro for video quality.

I got my camera. My preference was to get the Nikon P610. Unfortunately, that model is not available anymore and replaced with the newer model P900 which is 80x zoom but is also bulky, almost the same size of an SLR. Upon checking alternatives for the P610, found Canon SX60 HS

The advantage of this compared to Nikon P610 is that it also supports the raw format and is 65x zoom compared to the 60x on Nikon. Apart from that this compared to Nikon has an additional mic, flash, etc. can be connected. Supports NFC & Wifi can use mobile to be used for remote shooting. I am still exploring all the features and learning the basics.

80x zoom? That seems impossible. I've never seen anything that can do that. Normal zoom numbers are like 3 - 10x.

Wow it really is. No wonder it is bulky. Zoom like that takes a lot of glass.

Missed that. 80x zoom in a point and shoot? Crazy.

Seriously. It's a big point and shoot, but still. You can do an awful lot with one of those!

The Canon SX60 that i have now is smaller but still gives 65x zoom. Still need to explore all the features and learn this before my trip, one way it's good that i have few days before the trip to make sure i use this well!

You are planning to travel every year to new destinations and you have not any Camera except Mobile camera, this is very shocking for me. You have to buy any Point and shoot camera.

For deciding which point and shoot camera is good for you, I would like to share one article with you. Here is article link http://www.gadgetreview.com/best-point-and-shoot-digital-camera Using this review article you can easily decide which point and shoot camera is the best for your use.

According to me you should not buy drone because of Drone is very expensive and most of the countries are not allowing you to to use drone as you already said.

One option is there, when you need drone, you can hire it on rent. This is the best option for you.

The new Karma drove looks very promising, though. I do a lot of time in Central America where they are very much allowed.

Thanks for sharing the link. I am about to start travelling to different destinations from this year, so till that time the phone camera was sufficient, and i already got the camera, Canon SX60.
