This is interesting. This is a local company that has done some good and some bad to the local community.

I never bought into the idea that Satoshi was the inventor...
I also never investigated it that heavily either.

Well, Satoshi is the inventor, but Satoshi is Craig Wright.
-
@tonyshowoff Satoshi (the Asian guy) as being the inventor.
I remember for months the media hounded him to try and get him to say he was. Which means Mr Wright should've stepped in and ended it then.
That's harassment caused from inaction.

But he IS the inventor. Satoshi is the code name of the inventor, whoever the inventor is.

Well Dorian Satoshi was blamed because he had a similar name, which I always thought was stupid to begin with. That's like if I used the name James Woods and they blamed the actor for something I did without even bothering. Reading the documentation or any of the early stuff it was pretty clear it was not a Japanese person. Though obviously a huge Japanophile nerd for using a Japanese alias.

@scottalanmiller the picture of the Asain guy in the BBC article, news outlets hounded him for months, when he is not the inventor because of false information.
Mr. Wright was using his name as a cover for the Bitcoin operation.

Craig Wright called himself Satoshi Nakamoto in his original documentation and implementation of BitCoin, Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto was later blamed by people who thought "similar name, must be the same guy."
-
@tonyshowoff Yes I know.
That's my point, without all of the details. Wrong dude was hounded just because of misinformation.

Yes, I see, it seemed like you were suggesting that Wright never used that name himself.

Well sure, but the name you said and that guy aren't the same person or even the same name. It's like if I did something and a Ralph Scott Miller got hounded. Doesn't mean that Scott Miller didn't do it, just some guy with a different name got picked on because random people picked on him. No association. Scott Miller still did it.
-
@scottalanmiller You're not? Better call off my hate mail campaign and apologise to Ralph Scott Miller.
-
Dammit, was having so much fun messing with him.

OMG that is so me and @andyw - we used to hit the all you could drink martini happy bar at the local country club then run all over the golf course trying to get home.

My mother actually thought that was real news. I had to tell her it was satire.

I'm sure that isn't far from the truth.
