So I was in a meeting for overhaul folder structure and my manager mentioned that he wants the folder structure to be seemless... to be intranet. What is Intranet??? Does he knows what he is talking about? I doubt he means sharepoint or other webbased application. He mentioned that he wants users to be mapped to network share drives as their credential permitted, and it need to be seemless... to be intranet.

Any idea? If so how can I configure it.

Those aren't real terms 🙂 Plain and simple, that was someone who didn't know what they were saying just stringing words together.

I think you need to ask him to clarify. Maybe show an example of such a system running somewhere.

If you have network shares today - what does he want different, yet seamless, tomorrow?

I don't know yet. I got a feeling he's talking about Sharepoint but not sharepoint??

                  would that be Owncloud?

There is a free version of SharePoint - but man.. not sure I'd want to bother assuming you can move to O365 with SharePoint.

                    That's my guess, too.
