Anyone use box.com for business

I was just evaluating box.com, and looks like a good option for a simple file sharing and collaboration tool with some good features like AD integration, lot of reporting etc. Would like to know opinions about box

I have a free account with them. I got it on a promotion back when they switched to .com from .net and got 50GB free. I mostly just use it as a backup since I can't get tools like versioning and integration without paying ( you can get the office integration though).

Seems like a good alternative to O365, if you want a simple file sharing and collaboration provider. It works with Office online+desktop version, with sync tools for almost all devices. One thing i could notice as a major difference between O365 and Box is the storage pricing. For O365, with the plan i have now (E3), additional storage for eg: 1TB cost $190/month, where as with box, you pay &17/user/month and you get unlimited storage. Not sure if there are any ** on the unlimited storage!

Ya I can't say one way or another storage wise. Have you used the sync tool at all? Last time I used it, it was kind of a memory hog and a little slow. That was a while ago though, I haven't had a Windows machine in a long time.

Yes, I am using the desktop sync tool on my MAC now. Selected few specific files and folders from my box account and syncing that using the desktop tool and its low memory usage

Just installed the sync tool on my windows as well and it's not heavy plus the sync settings i mentioned on my MAC, automatically worked on windows too (sync specific folders & files). Not sure if ODFB works the same way, but for me one of the reasons we are thinking between O365 SP onlive vs box and leaning towards box is the sync tools for all platforms, (When i tried preview of ODFB on our MAC, it crashed both on Yosemite and El Captian), plus of course the unlimited storage.
