The hard disk is traditional only not SSD.
There is no time delay when I opened the folder for the first timeNo time delay, but nothing appears.... That's why I'm wondering if just showing the contents is taking a while.

Instead of Windows Explorer, can you see things doing a
dir
from the command line? -
I can see the folder in command prompt.
When i am inside the folder, the contents are provided as given below

Well, your results aren't good. Looks like there is nothing there.
- If you run a search on the root level of the USB for
*.*
, does anything show up? - Did you Cut and Paste the files or Copy and Paste?
If you cut the files, then forgetting to paste them, copied something else... they are gone
It's entirely possible that they have been pasted/moved to an unintended location.

How long did the copy take? Are the files still on the USB drive?
-
I have given the USB and the files take 10-20 Minutes copy to my laptop
-
@nadnerB I have pasted the folder by copying the whole folder
-
Anything odd about the file names?
-
Maybe try a copy at the command line instead. Or even use Robocopy.
-
I have downloaded Malwarebytes now scanning the system where there are about 470 Viruses being found and waiting for the result of Malwarebytes now
-
What is Robocopy ?
How to use that ? -
-
When I tried robocopy i found the result as below which is not correct
-
In your earlier screenshot it was the E drive that was showing as blank. Now you are copying from E to F. Are you sure that you are moving files in the right direction?
-
Also, as just a matter of good practice, avoid putting spaces in file and folder names. It works but just adds unnecessary complications.
-
Yeah.I have moved the folder from E to F drive by creating new folder in the F drive now

But E is the empty drive. That's not what you were supposed to be testing. Try copying the files again, not the empty folder.
