Double Fisting at Touche

Martinis are very dependent on the gin, for obvious reasons, and should never have ice. Cheap gin and lots of ice made that one far less good than it should have been. Martinis are chilled but not iced and everything comes down to a good gin choice. New Amsterdam is what I drink.

That 12oz. of gin had a little splash of surprise flavor, err... backwashed flavor, too. Nothing to fear; the alcohol kills the bacteria.

I just realized the title of this post may be taken the wrong way for someone who wasn't there. LOL!

I was thinking something very similar but I wasn't sure about the wording, so I just left it.

i like bombay saphire for my cheap gin. i love gin drinks though. mmmmhmmm

Bombay is a London style gin. I'm a Dutch style gin drinker myself. I prefer the powerful impact of the florals.

You, sir, may have ALL my gin... that was the 1st thing I ever got sick drunk on as a teen. Never again, the smell makes my stomach turn. I've tried to taste fancy, floral gin... same result.
-
Floral isn't fancy, it is Dutch.

I guess I'm lucky, the "getting sick on it" thing doesn't cause any later reaction for me. I've been sick on whiskey, did not diminish my love for it one bit.
