RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@Minion-Queen That you did. I can't fault you for the warning. It's impossible to convince the execs they want something else now... They tend to listen to our CTO who actually managed to get ransomware on his Macbook Pro...
On the plus side it needed enterprise installed anyways.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Setting up a Surface Pro 4... lost power at the initial start up. Our relationship is off to a rocky start.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@Dashrender I've used it as a server base for years and never had any problems. Given I've never done it in a work environment but I find it's ease of use and familiar GUI quite refreshing. I love running a mint (server) @ home.

RE: Remote connection manager
@BBigford I don't use VNC anymore. Kind of glad I don't have a need for it. The enviornments and users here are pretty efficient on the day to day.

Brave Browser
So many of you probably already know about Brave. https://brave.com/ I shared this on Spiceworks months ago but wanted to also notify those here on Mango. Brave is a browser with privacy and anti-ad capabilities out of the box... I have yet to come across something that doesn't properly load and function but it is still in beta. However, the dev schedule expects a stable 1.0 release for Windows and other OS's by the end of August so now is a good time to start playing around. It's much faster than chrome and doesn't have the memory leaks chrome does either... check it out when you can. It's a project lead by an old mozilla exec.

RE: AMD, trying to mount a comeback.
Though competition is good for everyone in the end. Keep the prices low and competitive.

RE: AMD, trying to mount a comeback.
@scottalanmiller Yes I'm talking desktop hardware, CPUs specifically. It could've been my own fault though. I was only 12-13 at the time but I recall my first build which was an AMD chip. I guess I'm just tainted...

RE: AMD, trying to mount a comeback.
@scottalanmiller Yeah, I've only been in the game for about 13 years. I just recall heat issues back then and failures let and right. They're much more advanced from a market standpoint currently but I still see things like the infamous cursor glitch that make me steer clear of AMD and ATI products... Intel just makes more sense to me, it's what I grew up building with and tinkering with speeds on.

RE: AMD, trying to mount a comeback.
They've been playing catch up for far too long for me to care anymore. I'm a lifer for Intel/Nvidia products sorry L0S3R!
