RE: Linux webserver with VPN
OpenVPN is a great solution but have you considered Pertino? They have a stable Linux client you can use.

NTG Game Night
For those interested, I just saw this on my Steam account, ironically, after closing out Civ V. NTG is huge on their mid-week AoE2 nights. I don't know how much they still play but be warned! If you thought Scott was terrifying when you mentioned using RAID5...you ain't seem him at AoE2. @Minion-Queen , @art_of_shred , @Mike-Ralston , @Dominica , @scottalanmiller ...they all play when they play. It's a crazy good deal for mid-week and Scott will probably gift this to at least one person he knows...knowing him. Anyways, just passing along the news.

Ah yeah,
I didn't even catch that... Of course, running from CAC, I'd just upload the files directly to it...
The problem is CloudatCost doesn't give you a ton of storage. I've got terabytes of data to connect to mine, so I just map a share to the server and connect it that way.
Yeah... I just don't have a good upload speed from my house, lol... Now that I think about it, I need to get my CAC box set up with VPN into my home network... That is another topic though. 8-)
Pertino. Setup a jump box on your local network, map the drives to it, create a SAMBA share of those shares and map it over the VPN.

I think one about dealing with vendors and engaging them inside and outside of social media might be interesting too.
That's a solid idea. I talked about the fact you should engage them, but haven't really ever written about how. I like it!

Hopefully I will be there. We are trying to work out childcare. They really threw a wrench in the works by making it an entire month early.
Yeah, that screwed a lot of people up. I wonder why they did that. September is notoriously hot in Texas, especially Austin. At least in October it's cooled down a little.

I doubt it would be a gateway device. It wouldn't make as much financial sense for them. If they do it it will probably be a Virtual Gateway appliance that you run on your VM Host.
Oh, not talking a physical device. Definitely something software driven.

Presentation at SpiceCorps Tonight
Hey everyone,
So tonight I am to speak at the Atlanta SpiceCorps about Spiceworld 2015 and to help encourage people to go to 2016. I've got an idea of what I want to cover as far as points. In order of importance (highest to lowest):
- Networking and connecting with vendors
- Swag
- Breakout sessions
The issue is I'm trying to come up with a visual presentation and can't really think of how I want to address it. I have lots of photos of Spiceworld but few of the actual convention...so two questions:
- Can I get some photos from anyone who has them of the convention itself and the like?
- Any specific points you feel should be emphasized?
Thanks,
A.J. -

It's often more editing internal documents that are in PDF format but not available in DOC, DOCX, etc.
Why would internal documents not have the originals? Sounds like spending money to fix a basic workflow problem.
It happens. I see it all the time. Also, Acrobat lets you fill in PDFs and create fillable forms with Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer. That's the biggest thing most people mean by "editing" PDFs.

I got the rest of the articles and reviews for August written today. Time to start on September.

I randomly just stood up and tlaked about it at the Chicago Downtown SpiceCorp tonight. All I had to do was tell the truth about the conference. That really is all there is to it.
That's what I did. I highlighted the value to employers for their employees is the networking opportunities, connecting directly with vendors, the breakout sessions and I showed them this:

@DonutDetroyer In order to do a fresh install, we had to wipe all of the drive partitions (like 5 or 6 existed) and reformat the drive.
Yeah, there's the primary, boot, recovery, system and tools usually. It's really freaking stupid and annoying.

I will put a plug in for my Apple Watch I LOVE IT (of course it was a gift so not paying the $350 would stop me fast).

When did they switch to national parks from big cats? Is there going to be an OS X Adirondack?
