Had a good bit of fun grinding my cleric on Project 1999 this week. He's almost level 60.
I wish they would do this for Asheron's call. I know they tried, but Warner Bros or something of the like bought the rights to the entire game, content/series and just locked it up!?

Bought Goat Simulator last week for $2.49. Have gotten at least $6.30 worth of entertainment value out of it so far, the buggy physics alone are worth the purchase price.
agreed this game is hilarious. My niece is way too good at it she found like ninja turtles in the sewers and all kinds of stuff I didn't come close to figuring out.

Quake Champions is free on Steam until the 25th I think, might be worth getting before that window closes.

hanks for the update on the TP
I guess if you just need one phone its not a big deal I thought he was trying to lay out more though because he was discussing poe from a switch..

RE: Offgrid PoE options
@MattSpeller Because each POE injector requires an outlet to power it and push the power inline to the cable.
-
RE: Offgrid PoE options
But wouldn't injectors require a ton of plugs to be laid out?

RE: Stanford Removes Java in Favor of JavaScript in Intro to Computer Science Course
@scottalanmiller I think this is really odd as well... but I also think Stanford is probably not wrong... they have a methodology. So this makes me think where is computer science heading? Are they just going to disassociate with the eve class languages at some point? Is this not going to be as big of a deal to learn about? I am sure it still will be relevant still, but is this going more towards the darker side of computer science for real programming languages versus scripting or are they just trying to get students used to the semantics of programming before introducing to the more difficult concepts? I think that actually could make some sense, because there are a ton of real applicable things you can do with just the knowledge of javascript and you don't really need to understand bytes of data anymore and how languages deal with memory as much... unless you are a super engineer. I wish my first programming class was javascript instead of Java, but then again I learned a ton from that Java class but never ever used it ever again.

RE: Google Maps API
@Carnival-Boy Nevermind I just reread it.. it shows your customer locations.. so assuming this is an internal tool.. well yes I agree it did take me a small Google Map API degree to figure all this stuff out.. glad to help out and make it more streamlined if you guys need though. Just let me know what you need I love working with the maps API.
-
RE: Google Maps API
@Carnival-Boy I see so it is not on a website.. it is the maps in your google account and you are just loading a sheet. So is this for internal use only? Not for your customers to get to? Or do you send them this or something / share?

RE: the missing VoIP, the ERP and the solution in search of a problem
I read this a couple times and I am lost what you are trying to do... sorry if I am being dense.. It sounds to me that you want to integrate into your ERP with your pbx, but you bought a phone system 6 months ago that is not compatible so you need to somehow do a tie line to a newer VoIP system that is compatible? Am I surmising that correctly?
If this is the case (sorry if you answered this) what brand phone system did you buy 6 months ago.. and what brand phone system are they saying you need to integrate to their ERP and what is the maker of the ERP software? Also are you saying you only need this integration with 15 users?
I can assist with this kind of thing but need more details.

RE: Google Maps API
@Carnival-Boy Hi Carnival.. is it something that is easy to do? It may seem daunting at first but it is pretty easy. I would start here.. with this tutorial..
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/store-locator
The trick is building the MYSQL table getting it to spit out XML from a .PHP which is all outlined how to do that. Then it is just a matter of importing the .csv or creating a page that can interact with your MySQL database to update it. This is actually how I have created several of these types of maps for different companies and my own.. I actually don't even know what you mean by importing the map and a Google Sheet.. I have not done it that way before. Are you referring to Fusion tables? Sort of lost on how you set yours up originally. Sounds time consuming and difficult.
