Yep, I get that. Has anyone made yealink config files by hand without assistance from the EPM module in FreePBX? Goal is to understand the phone's provisioning process without the EPM module since the "Free" module only does Sangoma phones.

I've used Amazon Polly https://aws.amazon.com/polly/ before. It's the easiest lifelike voices that can be directly downloaded without a hassle.

    • FreePBX Endpoint Provisioning without EPM (Yealink)

Is anyone doing auto provisioning without the EPM in FreePBX? This is for yealink devices...I read some threads about the config files in the /tftpboot folder and was curious is anyone did this without the EPM. I recently got access to the Yealink RPS and wanted to play/learn with the config files or toy with building a provisioning server. Where do the base config files come from, etc?

Could be an issue with the cidlookup module, do you need it? You could remove then reinstall, or try and update it?

    • RE: What's the best way to migrate to FreePBX 14?

@aaronstuder Oh yes! Rackspace was about 3-4x more than what we are paying for Vultr. Not to mention much more flexibility, and performance (SSD).

Just following up, everything migrated fine. Went from Rackspace FPBX 13 Backup to Vultr FPBX 13 Restore, Vultr 13 -> 14 Upgrade. Besides a corrupt MySQL DB on the Rackspace box giving me issues, everything went flawlessly. Nuked the bad tables in the DB with help from my SIP provider and we are live on the new. Thanks, guys!

    • RE: FreePBX Endpoint Manager File Location

@jaredbusch Right, I get that. I meant that they should still exist once I activate the new install since they were in the DB that was backed up on the old install and restored on new.

    • RE: FreePBX Endpoint Manager File Location

@jaredbusch so I can manually copy the tftpboot stuff, and then the existing settings from the EPM Pro module should re-appear once I activate the new deployment with the correct ID?

    • FreePBX Endpoint Manager File Location

Migrated to a new VPS provider with my FPBX install, obviously, the new install isn't registered yet for all my existing commercial modules but I want to make sure that the Endpoint Manager files are somewhere on the new server for the Yealink phones. Any insight into this? Has anyone done a FPBX migration with commercial modules? I just need to re-register my deployment ID and all is well?

@scottalanmiller I was going to use this.. https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/PPS/Elastix+and+PBXinaFlash+to+FreePBX+Distro+Conversion+Tool
I thought the backup and restore had to be on the same version to be functional?

Yeah, our entire other workload is on Vultr, the PBX is the last thing standing at Rackspace and it kills me every time I approve the invoice. I'll have to dig up that tool where you can migrate from another system to a new system.

Any of you all do this on a VPS provider? I just took a snapshot and plan to try on Rackspace here shortly.
