Mom had emergency surgery this past Sunday morning early or I would have installed it (XCP-ng).
Gonna try this weekend.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
I have a Note 8.
Nice phone. Squigglies & doodads galore (don't use them).
Not being able to pull the battery or use Micro SD's sucks -

Fishing is something you do while you
drinkrelaxAs long as your not driving the boat. At least that's how it is here in Wisconsin.
I'm a professional boat passenger.
I think that the meme get's inserted here:
I don't usually fish, but when I do I might have a cold one

RE: Tech conference in Wisconsin
I started this thread because I was interested in going. I was going to combine it with visiting my brother and sister-in-law. Aaaannnddd, I can't go.
Enjoy. I hear MIller Park is quite nice. -

@scotth but that is still an issue for any on-site electrician to handle. Not something the service provider would address. At least not usually.
Agreed. It shouldn't be

YAY! Partial power outage here. No biggie, it's just the front end of the office... where the server room is. No overhead lights and blaring UPS alarms. I thought Monday was yesterday.
How do you have a partial power outage? This seems more like a breaker box issue than a outage caused by your service provider. . .
Lose a leg, maybe?

Check the settings and look for always BCC or something like it.
EDIT: The overall device settings, not the email settings.

and should show the login information as well
I don't easily have access to a monitor and keyboard where my server is located. Doing the jumper bit isn't too bad, though.
I'm trying to get the hponcfg utility to work from my Xenserver console in the meantime. I guess I could drag a monitor down there, but it's definitely my last resort.
I'm thinking that the ILO will default to DHCP and UN/PW listed under the cover. You could web page it and reconfigure.

RE: Flapping Laptop, Windows 10
In the past year or so, I have had 4 ProBooks with flaky wireless. I found this when I pulled the back cover to reseat the wireless card. One of the leads wasn't properly fastened and it had been pinched by the cover when whomever installed it.

RE: HP iLO3 Local User Name Problem
This may not make you too happy about this but, under the cover of the server, there should be a diagram showing the jumper settings one of which will set the ILO to defaults and should show the login information as well. I sincerely advise removing power before you try this if all else fails.

HP ML150 G6'
The G6 came out in 2009.
@scotth said in I have 1st crack at a couple of HP ML150 G6's:
ES540 2.53 Ghz
I assume you mean the 5540? That also came out in 2009.
So you are looking at 10 year old hardware. Does it support everything you need? Forget what Hyper-V Server 2016 requires that old hardware does not support.
$500 is not a bad price tag for one with the drives and memory included like that.
The RAM by itself costs more. I checked for parts for these and they're all over E-Bay. So I think I can keep it alive for several years.
I'm really just looking to run XCP-ng. I've been running XS7.x for a while... started on 6.x on the current box. I like it and am comfortable with it.
I think that these will do nicely. -
RE: I have 1st crack at a couple of HP ML150 G6's
The only thing I'd really like to find is the latest ROM / update disks for this series. Just because. I don't think that HPE is keeping up on these any longer.
It's on my task list
