-Modify your global config settings :
map to guest = Bad User you wrote Bad user

      Restart your services
      systemctl restart smb.service
      systemctl restart nmb.service

Did you change your global configuration settings?

What about your normal phone system? Most PBX do video calling naturally. This can be a really handy way for internal calls.

Always thought they could only do voice, I am going to have to test this.

And when they do fail we just replace the machines, we do not bother with replacing since there are so old.

That has been my case as well, I have not been in IT for significant amount of time but the only two drives that I have seen fail I didn't have to replace because we already had a new server in place.

Not sure, but unless you have some reason to assume that they are not where they belong in /var/log, assume that they are there.

      That answers my question.

That most logs are supposed to be in /var/log

Yes, that is the standard log location.

Wouldn't XO logs be in /var/log/syslog, since it is normally installed in ubuntu?

Their wireless access points are excellent, too.

They are, I have two running here at home, we have a client that has a total of about 12 AP plus the UBNT NVR and AirCAM. The APs are across two sites in two states. They adopted perfectly across the UBNT VPN setup between the two.

Can't really go wrong with the UBNT product line.

What is your clients opinion about the UBNT NVR and AirCAMs?

    • RE: Chrome randomly copying Opera for the heck of it?

Presto was the layout engine of the Opera web browser for a decade. It was released on 28 January 2003 in Opera 7, and later used to power the Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers. As of Opera 15, the desktop browser uses a Chromium backend, replacing Presto with the Blink layout engine. Presto is a dynamic engine.

It was until Opera 15 that they change to be based on the Chromium layout engine, Opera used to use it own layout engine before.

    • RE: Regional/Language/Date - GPO

      @Joel said in Regional/Language/Date - GPO:

I have a DC running Server2012 and then a domain joined Terminal Server (2012) which is used simply to deploy Excel as a remote app.

Our users open Remote Excel from their local computers.
The problem I have is the date/region format is set to US and I'd like it to be UK.

Ive changed the settings on the server to reflect this but when users use Excel it still shows the US version.
I then logged onto the server as a user and noticed it was set to US and when changed to UK, his Excel worked with correct format.

I dont want to have to change this for each user individually so want to do it using a GPO if possible.

On our DC, I have tried this way: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754020.aspx with no luck.

Can you guys help me deploy a Group Policy that will set all remote users time/date/region format to UK settings?

      Thanks in advance

By the way did you apply your settings by pressing F6?

@scottalanmiller Sorry, poor choice of words. I ment to say, the HP Micro didn't have a dedicated hardware raid card in the initial configuration.

The super Micro also has fake raid.

And the motherboard list this as tested as compatible cards:

Don't really know how good any of those cards are, I have actually never used a raid card. I have only used MD raid.
