So the UniFi lines main feature is central management, just judging from the name? I'm more into Cisco / Juniper / Nortel / Enterasys etc, never dealt with Ubiquiti but I'm open to anything new.
Yes, UniFi would remind you of Meraki, but you host your own controller and don't have to deal with an annual charge for owning the gear.
The UniFi line is also more limited in functionality than EdgeMax when it comes to the routers. I have not compared the switches.
I don't care about any routers, I'm a pfSense junky
What kind of hardware are you using for your pfSense routers?

RE: Building Out XenServer 6.5 with USB Boot and Software RAID 10
@DustinB3403 I am actually trying to do exactly that just right now on my test setup. It thought that with this command:
xe sr-create type=ext device-config:device=/dev/md10 shared=false host-uuid:fba59a9c7e6db5a2d21e40343b415cfd name-label="Array storage"It would get added as local storage to xencenter, but I am getting this error :
The SR operation cannot be performed because a device underlying the SR is in use by the host.Don't really know why, I haven't used xenserver before. Any ideas @scottalanmiller

Let me tell you guys the story of why I feel the way I do about this. Laura and I have a family friend who got pregnant with her husband. They were so happy. Did everything right. The mother was overweight when she got pregnant and developed gestational diabetes (I'm unsure if that contributed to what eventually happened). They went the entire 8.5 months with everything being fine. Got their last checkup before giving birth and the baby had passed away. No real cause given as far as I know. When this happens so close to birth, you still need to give birth the baby even though it isn't alive anymore. This isn't a news story, it's a person I know.
As much as something like this would change me forever (and I really mean forever), I don't think my fear is for myself but rather for Laura. I can't give birth for her. I can't do any of it for her. If something happens I'll be powerless to stop it. That sort of thing.
If we were to suffer a loss, I would still be grateful and full of joy because I got to see, feel, hear and speak to my baby girl, even though she is unborn she has change us forever. The promise of her life no matter how long it will be,for me, surpasses the fear of her death.

RE: Building Out XenServer 6.5 with USB Boot and Software RAID 10
I removed the /dev/md10 entry from fstab so it doesn't automount and causes conflict with xenserver handling storage

RE: Building Out XenServer 6.5 with USB Boot and Software RAID 10
We should also add that he needs to finish the array building before trying to add the filesystem
watch cat /proc/mdstat to see it build in real time
And also @scottalanmiller i only get mkfs.cramfs mkfs.ext2 and mkfs.ext3 as available fs by default

I believe he was asking about the drive itself, regular drive for any computer vs a drive you would put on a nas
There is no difference in them. You simply pick the drive that meets the specs you need. there is no such thing as a drive for NAS. no matter what certian companies try to market to you.
Yes you can put any drive on a NAS, but there is a reason most people recommend WD Reds for 24/7 use. I believe @scottalanmiller post http://www.smbitjournal.com/2014/05/understanding-the-western-digital-sata-drive-lineup-2014/ answers the OP's question, at least if using WD for drives
