@scottalanmiller Impressive! Glad to see this initiative is taking off. Even though I don't game on Linux, I'm glad to see the ecosystem flourish. More competition means better games for us.

@Nic Unless of course you hearken back to the old days, where they used 4 digits as well 😛 Or even when they used three digits and between 2 and 5 letters.

I guess they learned their lesson and simplified the numbering scheme 🙂

NVidia, because their number system is easier to understand. Three digits is simpler than four 🙂 Plus their drivers usually seem to have the edge.

Doesn't matter what the license says. The devs will never do anything if you violate their license and fork the code, as they prefer to remain anonymous.

    • RE: Ghoulish stabbing raises question: Who is Slenderman?

It's not the guns, the games or the tv shows - it's the mental health. One of the girls is quoted at saying she had no remorse, which means she's probably a sociopath. Better detection and treatment is the answer. Take away all the "reasons" and the weapons and they'll just get inspiration from anywhere and use a brick.

The PET was the one you could destroy with a poke command: http://www.6502.org/users/andre/petindex/poke/index.html

@JaredBusch Yep, which are a heck of a lot further away. These would make satellite phones a lot less annoying too.

It's LEO so the ping times won't be as bad as other satellite internet, since it is much lower.

    • RE: KeePass/LastPass versus Excel

How good is the encryption? Also, if someone gets a copy of the file they can try to brute force the password at their leisure, whereas LastPass keeps it on their servers.

Why not just put it in a text file and encrypt the whole disk instead?
