Are the ads live? Or am I being a bad member and blocking them?
Sadly they aren't hosted on a ad site so ad block plus don't work.
uBlock was blocking them for me. Not sure if they base it on content or some other metric, since it isn't using a standard ad server.

Some adblocking does work. Maybe not all. I have no idea how some detect it as an ad since it is all hosted inside the application.
It could be using algorithms, like looking for the "sponsored by" text, or comparing the image against a database of other ads.

RE: Webroot
@ajstringham I think we're pretty comparable. I don't have the full pricing info handy, but I know we do have discounts for SpiceHeads. I can get you to the sales rep for your zone if you want more info or a quote.

Cards Against Humanity holiday gift series
This year they are doing 8 sensible gifts for Hanukkah - so far I've gotten two pairs of identical socks

RE: OpenERP renames itself to Odoo
Changing one's name is always a bad sign. Means they did something that they can't recover from, reputation-wise.

RE: Steam Usernames
@scottalanmiller I'm "tolstoshev" on Steam and pretty much any other gaming platform. It's guaranteed to never be taken

I haven't touched Powerline ethernet in 15 years., It was pretty terrible back then has it gotten that much better?
It's gotten amazing. Great throughput, rock solid, and even has blinkenlights on it so you can see if there's a problem. I have them all over my house now. The only potential problem is if you have a really old house, or more than one fuse box. Outside of that it's plug and play.

RE: Endpoint Protection - For Family\Friends
@IRJ sounds good - just let me know and I can get you more info.

RE: Mac and Time Machine Backup Question
@Dominica since the whole purpose of time machine is a valid backup in case your machine dies, that would seem to be its primary purpose
Also I second the migration assistant as being awesome. I've used that on multiple mac upgrades.
