RE: Miscellaneous Tech News
@kelly said in Miscellaneous Tech News:
There is a new attack on WPA/WPA2 PSKs: https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-7717.html.So is that what these guys do, sit around and parse wireshark logs looking at bytes of memory, and then figuring out whats what, then using these tools like hashcat to crack keys and pw?

I bought annoyatron from thinkgeek and put it in a ceiling vent the day i left on a vacation.
Someone called me on my vacation to ask about the noise. -
RE: Non-IT News Thread
@dustinb3403 This is for legal immigrants, not undocumented illegal immigrants. Do you know what the difference is? It sure sounds like you don't.
-
RE: Non-IT News Thread
@dustinb3403 Not personal at all. Its a rhetorical statement to show how dumb this proposal is. Just asking why you or you family shouldn't lose citizenship if you use ACA. Immigrants cant be citizens if they use it, even if they pay taxes for it under this rule. Why should you or anybody else be different? Hell, why not take US citizenship away from everybody who has ever used welfare or ACA?
-
RE: Non-IT News Thread
@dustinb3403 This rule would disqualify immigrants from becoming citizens if they use ACA. Justify this.
I might as well say you should lose citizenship if you use ACA, or that your daughter cant be a citizen because you or her used this service. -
RE: Non-IT News Thread
@dustinb3403 No, that is not his reason. His reason is because most immigrants aren't white Christians.
This is just a workaround so it doesn't get thrown out immediately. Also, there more American born citizens on welfare than legal immigrants, your argument is nonsense. Also ACA isn't welfare. -

The high cost of CT and MRI needs to be stopped. These are multi decade old technologies that orgs charge $10k for 15 minutes of use for, all day every day. Fucking absurd.

This is the 3.5Ghz spectrum available for general use shortly. The Citizen Broadband Radio Service has been rebranded, and the spectrum sold off to wireless carriers, with provisions for public and private use.
How long until carriers like VZW ATT start making phones/modems/radios that use this band? What are advantages or disadvantages to current radio bands? -
RE: Non-IT News Thread
Another Trump appointee caught stealing millions of dollars.
This brings the # of Trump appointees getting arrested or fired for thievery up to over a dozen.
Allegedly, of course. -
RE: Help with IIS Security
You certainly can do this. SSRS/CRM/NAV all do this. I dont really have any specific answers other than yes.
Your post is still a bit vague.
What authentication is the IIS using? What view are they presented with when logging in?
What permissions do users have by default to the sql server? What is the view currently?

View from what application? SSMS? SSRS? Some custom thing?

Watched half of Blade of the Immortal last night. Another live action adaptation of a popular manga/anime. This one is great so far and clocks in at just under 3 hours.
