    • RE: Unable to get time to sync on Server 2012 R2 DC

Check Group Policy setting in the default domain controller OU to make sure NTP/SNTP is not disabled. See this article:
      https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/95733420-c3c8-456d-a5c1-b426ebafb53e/pdc-will-not-sync-with-external-time-source-ntp-using-w32time?forum=winserverNIS
Also, try an IP address instead of name. I use 132.163.4.103 and 129.6.15.29 for my testing, then set to pool.ntp.org when testing's complete.

IN the last 10 years, I've replaced countless batteries but only replaced maybe 2 UPS's (both APC pieces of junk) . We are in may cases on 3rd or 4th set of batteries.

    • RE: Finding Wireless Interference Source

Typically you would use a spectrum analyzer to look at the frequency range in question. Problem is most of them are expensive. We use a product from Ekahau when doing site surveys to determine wifi in use and interference from things like microwave ovens:
      https://www.ekahau.com/products/spectrum-analyzer/overview/
I believe we paid over $6000 for it though.
There was a cheap one out there that worked well I'll see if I can find it.
Other option is a software defined radio that can tune the 2.4GHz band, coupled with a radio program like SDR# (pronounced SDRSharp) that can scan the band in question. You look on the scan as its happening for peaks in the frequency range; those are either your wifi AP's or other devices causing interference. @gjacobse may have some info on one; the one I have doesn't go up that high in frequency.

    • RE: Sling.tv: My Experience

@bnrstnr Problem is we pick and choose what our children watch (and usually watch with them to explain what is good and not so good) so we don't necessarily want them watching whatever show is on right that moment on the network.

    • RE: Sling.tv: My Experience

Is it considered a "cable" account so you can log into the content providers apps with your sling username/password? For example , I can log into NickJr app on my table with my Fios account so the 4 year old can watch a show or play games.
