A joke or not, once "Disneyfied" it will lose some luster.

RE: UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell
My only issue with Ubiquiti is commitment. Products seem to come and go. While I understand not pumping resources into a bad idea, maybe "slow the roll" a bit before showing the masses what you have.
Portfolio expansion is ok, IFF their core products do not suffer as a result. -
RE: Work from Home - Computer setups
I use a laptop for work, and connect via usb-c dock to dual screens at the office. I have a similar setup at the house. So, I just plug in my work machine and off I go.

RE: Gmail Down
We use Google services here. We had a quirk around 6am-7am on Monday. No end-user issues reported since that 1 hour. However all of our facilities are within TX.

RE: Reconsidering ProxMox
I haven't played with it for over 5 years. I never got past a brief test, as I relocated to TX for a new position.
It seems others have found it effective however.

RE: PDQ Link
PDQ Link is an add-on for the W.F.H. era. It keeps PDQ Inventory and Deploy usable so they do not lose market share.
It being integrated with AD makes perfect sense for their use case, as their product suite is for updating/managing Windows devices

RE: With Crashplan Free/Home going away...
I use the paid version of Crashplan at home. I script each laptop to backup data to a linux box which in turn connects to CrashPlan Pro. I only need to pay for a single seat. At around $10 for unlimited storage in this model, it works well enough

RE: Active Directory en spiceworks
Spiceworks can connect to your AD, so that importing is not needed. Look under SETTINGS, and then ACTIVE DIRECTORY INTEGRATION.
