Guess spend some time with the kids. Maybe take the helicopter and drone out if dry and not windy

Unfortunately while walking to the grocery store, the local terror dog jumped at Dominica and scared her, she stepped back and twisted her ankle badly on uneven asphalt and fell down in the street. Hurt her ankle badly, like she did a year ago in Spain, and cannot walk again.
Poor thing hope she recovers soon

My vote is the home project ...
Na decided to waste company time

I can see a market where you have Small/Medium size companies - one man band IT teams - Maybe places with no Virtual infrastructure or simply don't want to install another bit of software on a existing server.
If you are big enough to have a single IT guy, even a half time IT guy, you are much larger than you should be without virtualization.
Maybe in a case where you have literally nothing except for the networking, but even then, it seems a stretch.
True think the product is limited to certain people/scenarios, but I do see it being a help for some :D.
You got to remember (which I seeing on SW more and more) so called IT pro's are coming into the industry without a clue. So this would help them run a Unifi Network with no effort lolIs it really no effort? It requires that you manage patches and updates without a normal infrastructure.
Would half the "IT Pros" on SW keep anything up to date lmao

This is so me at the moment - e.g. went for a run Monday, ended it in the pub with a pint and 14oz Angus Steak!
Morning @scottalanmiller
Deciding do I spend all day trying to get FOG working again or leave for a evening at home project??

But for me i'll stick with a VM that I can backup and replicate in case of failure

Trying to install SnipeIT but it not going well..........
Scott has a guide here.
I know was following it
I need a hobby ..... just found it!!!!
Looks interesting.
Featuring Hybrid Cloud technology, the UniFi
Cloud Key securely runs a local instance of the UniFi Controller software and features cloud Single Sign-On for remote access.
https://www.ubnt.com/unifi/unifi-cloud-key/
Handy for people that don't want to spin up a VM just for the controller.

My EdgeRouter X has gigabit too and passive PoE
This is all I recommend for home use. Get an ER-X and a UAP-AC-Lite. Here, the whole thing is $180. Not sure about down under.
Not seen the ER-X models. Can they do bandwidth control? So PC1 get 80% internet and PC2 get 20%?? etc?
Might get some Ubiquiti stuff for home WiFi upgrade over next few months. But wat I need is a router that will give me control on bandwidth so I can assign the Media PC X amount of bandwidth to keep streaming services going even when all the kids are streaming youtube etc
I know you can control with the Unifi AP's but the media box will be cabled in.
MDaemon was my first E-mail Server and i even replaced a sandbox with it when i moved companies. (This was 15/16 years ago i think. Man i've been in IT for a while)
It was a great bit of software, still recommend it to people that can't afford M$ licensing and on small networks.
Just finishing my pint after a 14oz Angus steak
I would not call those prices affordable for consumers when they hit £100 or less then yes but over £200 no.
Will try from home on my laptop that was giving issues last night and report back
