@jaredbusch well I say out the box.
I've static the IP join it to the domain. Enable remote desktop (I can RDP into it). What else should I be doing?
Well this is strange, just connected up to run the commands and my management pc/laptop are connecting to the HyperV server now
Now to convert my XenServer VM's over to HyperV

@dbeato Just tried that on a Server2012 and once restored i get a blue screen, so trying to work through it.

@nerdydad At the moment one has failed to restore.

Probably because the XenServer Agent was installed on it.
Didn't think of that. Will retry after uninstalling it

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Finally got my RADIUS server off XenServer and onto our ESXi host woop.
After trying so many combos of uninstalled x-y-x not uninstalling x, exporting as h then q etc etc you get my drift.Followed the 2nd post on this page and boom booted straight into Win2012
here is the web page

Advantage of being
- Small
- In the corner of the office
- Behind dual Monitors
= Being able to listen to Spoify without people (inc the Boss) noticing :see-no-evil_monkey: :see-no-evil_monkey:

Looking at "Cloud" servers (need to host a small VM for zabbix 2vCPU 2GB RAM)
But getting confused on pricing.
Just give me ...... it's £5/mth simple.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
On train home after a positive visit to a Scale customer.
Think my colleagues are seeing the benefits now instead of Nimble and NetApp
-
RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@dustinb3403 that scale aren't a "two men in a shed" operation and people are using it for production SQL environments. Also how easy the whole setup is and operation and really showing them we don't need a SAN full stop. As there is technology out there that will do the same job, cheaper (and maybe better lol )
-
RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@coliver Understand, but i'm trying to put this to people that "think" a SAN is the all singing all dancing solution to storage because a) we already have one b) everyone sells them to SMB
I need to show that Scale or even 2-3 hosts with a vSAN setup is just as quick/reliable/nice looking
