So it could be used well to manage your own machines, but it's missing the support element?

@scottalanmiller Good to see you have kicked MS office to the kerb...you are using Zimbra for your email as well? have they got round to updating the UI yet?

RE: NextCloud Talk - Voice, Video, and ScreenSharingposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller Have you thought about implementing only office into NC? - I'm thinking of setting up a VM to see how well they work together.

They defiantly have created a really good mature product.

RE: Why I Feel KVM Is the Easiest HyperVisor to Learn the Basics Onposted in IT Discussion
Yep don't see any issue with using XO..it has a clean interface.
even installing XO after XCP-NG is quicker than setting up Hyper-V outside of a domain. -

Handy Guide, but What a f**k about to get a hypervisor up and running outside of a domain..

RE: Why I Feel KVM Is the Easiest HyperVisor to Learn the Basics Onposted in IT Discussion
@DustinB3403 - Quick Install with no fuss, snapshot and snapshot schedules, backup with Xen Orchestra.. just nice and easy to use with no fuss just like a hypervisor should be.
I've used KVM with Virt Manager and remember it had issues sometimes connecting with Spice or Vnc...just didn't seem quite as polished in my eyes...

I'm now using XCP-NG, have no issues with whoever uses what for their hypervisor.. this is a more viable solution then KVM in my eyes.

I agree with Jared on this, Why invent the wheel, plenty of plugins to use with Wordpress.
It's not for commercial use and he wants to learn or practice something specific. If this was for a business, I'd concur. But it's not, it is for fun. So doing what he is doing is fine. The extra time or effort are not negatives in this case.
Fair Enough, even if it's for fun, it's still going to be live on the internet, so security will still be important.
Why not use PHP and MariaDB? -

I agree with Jared on this, Why invent the wheel, plenty of plugins to use with Wordpress. Plus if you haven't developed code for a long time security comes into play as well.
If you don't want to use WordPress there are other sites out there that specialise in this like @black3dynamite has posted.

An actual wtf to this....fed up with all these incompetent controlling governments...we have the same issue in the UK, with them all fighting over Brexit, and trying to look at ways in stopping a democratic vote.. absolute shambles with political leaders at the minute.
I defiantly can see a future where governments will want further control of the internet, they are already starting in small processes.

This will make developers a bit more happy knowing they will be using the same engine.

@travisdh1 its to make up for the short week, everything has to condence.
This isn't even a condensed week, it's like 6 months of bad in one day.
At least the Exchange server came back to life after a reboot.
What was up with the exchange server?

@scottalanmiller I've been getting a calls of these recently as well as Comodo. It doesn't seem to be just one call either. I find their sales team quite pushy.

In the past I used SpamExperts; I don't know the current price but it used to be per domain, not per mail address. Just consider that it is now owned by Solarwinds.
Oh yeah, good point. That's a show stopper here. We have had serious legal issues with Solarwinds and won't consider any product they've tainted. Serious ethical and legal problems.
That doesn't sound good!

I have taken my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 before and logged into a desktop from the tablet. A few people have been impressed by that. Light to carry to a meeting and can use in the meeting as well. I always have a company background with logo on the desktop just to make it visually appealing as well.
Specifically what was excluded.
True, but not much left to choose from:
"The physical onsite demo for the customer cannot be a PC or anything that any normal end user would think is a pc.
It cannot be a laptop, or chrome book, or tablet, or ipad."So you would need a screen to plug this device into? are you going to carry a screen round with you as well or expect the client to grab a screen for you? obviously only leaves thin clients, Intel Nuc and compute sticks.
I think the devices you mentioned above actually would be ideal to show the solution to the customer.

SpamHero has been pretty solid for us. I have a reseller account because it allows me to keep track on my client's accounts and you also get individual quarantines for all users without the extra monthly fee ($1/user/month).
Their pricing looks really attractive as well.
