Instead of contacting support, have you tried the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation along with viewers like you?

RE: Consolidating Printers and Remote Printer Monitoring
@wrx7m my experience is that the vendor doesn't "access" the locally installed software, it collects it and then posts it back home. Why would it be anything more than a glorified SNMP retrieval followed by sending out?

RE: spf include option
For best practices, you shouldn't have more than 10 records that require DNS lookups per the RFC, but both are acceptable.

ML Catgories Are Bad
@JaredBusch yes "category" ok.... because the organization of mangolassi is fucking shit. everything shows up on the main page and categories don't mean anything.
there isn't even a person behind this automatic spamming account, it's a script. probably written by an asshole like you.

RE: Spiceworks users don't understand Google ads
@scottalanmiller other than Spiceworks has always used Google for remnant space and the first iterations of the desktop product solely used Google ads.

Spiceworks users don't understand Google ads
https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2234658-ridiculous-blatantly-dishonest-ad?from_forum=288
This is not an ad served by Spiceworks, it's obviously a Google ad and the genius sysadmins (and community managers) don't realize it.

RE: Any good self-hosted discord alternatives?

abbies work like employees, Uber drivers work like contractors. The delineation is pretty clear.

I have friends who do it and they do well.
They must be pretty bad at math, it's always a net loss using a personal vehicle in the gig economy. It's literally impossible to earn enough doing Doordash, Flex, Uber
-
RE: Carless in Dallas
The service economy is dying, there won't be Uber, Lyft, Doordash etc much longer as people wake up to the outrageous prices and employees being classified as contractors. I wouldn't rely upon those being available.

RE: SpiceWorld 2019 Events, Plans, Meetups
@scottalanmiller did they announce the end of future SpiceWorld events or if the Spiceworks applications will still exist now that the community is the only thing ZDNet wants?

RE: StarWind Success Story: CIPTI solves its backup problem
That resource library is really light on content. How did StarWind Virtual SAN solve their manual backup problem?
"High performance and data high availability (HA) were not the only benefits for the company, meaning StarWind support t hat continues to solve the problems with ease."
Is having to contact support for problems with the VSAN another benefit?
It might as well say:
Problem: Company needs to make a stew.
Solution: Company bought a pot. -
RE: Joining 2 Windows 10 Machines
Re: Joining 2 Windows 10 Machines
I'd go about this very differently.
Get him a USB KVM and forget about the hassles of licensing or dealing with both Windows screwing up the UEFI boot order.
It'll be nearly the same user experience as dual booting, with having both iterations of Windows instantly available.

RE: TPM module - what is it used for?
@Pete-S said in TPM module - what is it used for?:
So what is it usually used for?
Primarily marking up the price and backdoorsIs it something you should make use of, if you have it?
How many times has your BIOS been compromised?Should you get it, if you don't have it?
If you're asking, then definitely. I have them for sale at uselesscrap.co.lan. -

RE: Disabling Microsoft Edge?
It sounds like you're trying to solve a managerial/training problem with a technical solution. That won't ever end well.

RE: KB4512941 might break 1903 search
@Dashrender I didn't realize you still had a problem with KB4515384 as you never mentioned KB4515384 in the thread. It fixed it for me.
