I've recently seen a bit of this company around, as they make guitar and bass amps. Should they be referred to as "FAT" or "Fuchs"? I haven't seen any of their products in any sweepstakes or giveaways thus far, so I'm pretty sure you have to pay for their stuff if you want any, since there seem to have been literally zero Fuchs given at this point. But, I digress...

You posted this just so you could use the last sentence and not get modded, ha ha.

I was literally looking at a music supply store ad and saw the full name for the first time. I had heard of Fuchs amps, but didn't see that the full name would be abbreviated FAT. If it weren't for it being a dude's last name, I would completely think that was done on purpose. It may have been anyway.

And the whole thing lent itself nicely to the setup for the final delivery... 🙂

I just saw a document from Humana (our insurance provider) that was a request to verify the number of employees we have.... and then it said to "be sure to use whole numbers, no decimal points"... smdh.

Doesn't that just make you want so badly to put 47.2 there? 😛

Promised the five year old a trip to the playground so here we are at 9pm. Eight year old smartly opted to come tomorrow during the daytime.

So, eight year old smarter than dad. Got it.

Here is an air station that takes credit cards. Happy I found this!!! I NEVER carry change with me.

I'll have your credit card information in 5...4...3...2...<ding!>

Now, just for confirmation, what's the CCV number on the back of your card?

I just use my shop air compressor. Something weird about using a credit card to purchase a small amount of air...

I'm reading up a bit about indoor plant growing on a global scale.

      Specifically PlantLab and Plant Paradise

      It's really awesome technology.

Why is this an issue? I get the performance argument. I hadn't noticed it personally, but I haven't been on much in the last week. The huge hissy-fit over "I don't like it so you need to run your organization the way I think it should be done" is a bit much. When YOU start paying for the bandwidth, do what you think is best and take the liability of your decision. Until then, offer a suggestion politely and then take a seat.

I have a very nice rack in my office, but I'd get slapped if I posted any pics...

Other than that, it's still a pretty nice office space. Maybe I just like it because I built it myself?

    • RE: Why are XP Users Not Flocking to Linux?

The Geekery have been trying to make Linux "happen" in the office space for the past 30+ years. It's not happening. Get over it. Behind-the-curtain business functions, monitored and operated by geeks hiding in a closet somewhere in the building? Sure; Linux is great. Something that I have to touch, and that other business people have to share and use? Forget it! It is NOT the tool for the job. Sorry. Go back to your closet and watch YouTube vids of League of Legends tournaments...

I made my reply because @scottalanmiller started randomly grabbing images for topic icons from all over the place.

Scott contends that it is not theft. I contend that it is theft.

Sorry @JaredBusch , I was actually not directing that at yourself. I'm staying out of the legal discussion, as I don't feel informed enough to weigh in on it.

The up-vote/down-vote is nice, but I would like it better if you could see who voted. I know, that's a feature request.

There's that, and then if the Host where your Veeam instance live burns out the RAID array, you have lost all of your backups, lol.

That's the case if your array burns out virtualized or not.

That's why you need replication and/or archival. SPOF for backups is never an "ok" thing.

As someone who is Aspy and doesn't solve problems the way that other kids did, this was very frustrating and made learning math hard, slow and boring. It made school painful and didn't allow me to exploit my nature learning abilities and forced me to be useless.

Yes, Scott used to rub sticks together to solve math problems. Sadly, he was robbed of his "nature learning abilities" and forced to assimilate.
