Is this crossing a firewall? If so, it should be able to tell you which devices are the nosiest.

Cross post from where?

I have to say the plus on the Brother MFC-9970 is that it is a laser printer that is not an ink hog. I have done a total of 15,000 color pages and 150,000 black and have only put in new toner once.
300 reams of paper on a single cartridge? How big is the cartridge, and what's your coverage percentage?

RE: Cell phone versus tablet
To the OP, if you don't have a phone with you, what do you do for 911? I don't have a cell phone outside of work, and use Skype on my iPad mini, but don't use it as a phone (via Skype) much. It would be great if they just put a darn phone in it. They already have a 4G module in it.

I've been using the Getting Things Done system religiously for a decade. I highly recommend it!
THIS!! I can't emphasize enough how much of a life saver this is. It's quite literally saved my career and sanity. Read the book (or listen if you're an audiobook person). Enact the system and stick with it. You'll be more productive, less stressed, and may come out of it an entirely new person.

RE: Reliable All-in-Ones?
Take a look at the OfficeJet Pro X line. It's a pretty beefy color all-in-one with decent cost per page, scan to SMB/USB/email, fax, fax-to-email, and more. I have an X576dw, and it's been a delight to use.

RE: Office 365 Updates: More Installs and Bigger Mailboxes

- The size of Hosted Exchange mailboxes have been doubled from 25GB previously to 50GB today. That's a lot of email. I've seen a lot of shops worried about what to do about one or two executives who, in a migration, would have just too much mail for the old limit. I've seen no one that won't fit into the new 50GB limit.
Actually, that was back in August.

Here is an additional question regarding CrashPlan PROe. How well does it handle super sized files such as a VM backup? If I go with something like this for a private cloud I may as well get my Veeam backups included. How hard would it choke on something like this if the outbound pipe was say 10mbps.
It wouldn't choke on the bandwidth (it works just fine on a T1), but would choke on the large file. You're welcome to try it, however. CrashPlan's great for end-user computers, but really falls short on servers. I recently was exhibiting at trade show on behalf of Quorum, and Code 42 was across the aisle from me. We got to talking, and realized that while both products exist in the same environment (backup), they do very different things.
The feature that impressed me about CrashPlan was its self-healing database. If it found a corrupt file, it'd remove it from the database and send a request for the agent to send over a fresh copy on next backup.

I use a virtual desktop for my primary workstation. I can access it from nearly any device. In a sense, it gives me Windows on my iPad. With application compatibility problems out the window, it comes down to non-work functions, form factor, and weight.
I could use VNC on my android tablet and essentially do everything I need to do except its not really comfortable for doing any extensive work.
What do you envision yourself doing with this computer?

Sorry guys, I wasnt very clear with my question.
I am looking for a mobile device not a means of VPN connection. I think I finally settled on a Surface Pro 2. Does anyone own one?
P.S. Pertino is awesome
Hmm, I misread that post! Though I am interested in your thoughts on the Pro 2 once you buy it. @Minion-Queen recently purchased one I believe. I am in the market for a new device for my wife. Still debating a Pro2 or iPad Air.
The reviews I have been reading have all been good. I will let you know because I will probably pull the trigger early this week.
An iPad wont work for me. I want to have a full laptop replacement

RE: What would it take to get your boss to move to office 365?
@Dashrender said:
My users hate me. If you're not in administration, you only get 200 megs of email. I've had no push back from my boss on this either, as regular staff should only be using email for a few internal notices, not storing jokes, etc.
Holy crap! I've only been with the company since November, delete anything not worth retaining, and am at 695MB. Mailboxes that small encourage users to make a legion of PST files.

RE: vCenter - Java RAM utilisation
vCenter's a little RAM heavy. If I'm reading this right, you're using the same server for vCenter and Veeam. If that's the case, you'll want to give it extra RAM.

It's not bad. I'm in the process of trying to adjust to the new interface and controls. After playing MMOs for 10 years, movement and interface have become subconscious functions.
I'm going back to FFXIV. I like ESO's ability to build your own character/playstyle, but I can't adapt to the modified keyboard movement controls, off-center camera, lack of nameplates, and using a reticle to target instead of tab or clicking a a target. As a keyboard user, I'm out of my element, as it's very mouse-intensive. The game feels like a single-player FPSRPG.

LOL, good point. Although very hard to trace back an online profile to an IP address.
We don't have good internet connection.. Am i safe now?
Not quite. SSL connections generally don't require much bandwidth.
