Hardware recommendation for Skype setup on conference rooms
-
Hello everyone,
Posted this on one of the previous post as reply, and I believe no one has seen this.
I am currently working on to setup conference rooms connecting our 3 offices, and thinking of keeping it simple by using Skype!
We have MAC minis spare @ our office, so planning to set that and connect to our conference room TVs, and setup a generic account. Map the network drive with one folder where everyone can drop in their files that needs for their meeting. Reason for MAC is we have some users with keynotes.
The audio will be through the SONOS speaker system which is used in the conference room already.
Now looking for good MIC and Cameras. I think the camera should be a wide angle HD camera and MIC is possible a wifi with USB dongle, that I can connect to the MAC and keep the mic at the center of the table so it is accessible for everyone. (With noise cancellation for sure)
Camera, I am thinking of:
And Mic xTag USB
Suggestions please

If you get away from the mac mini's at somepoint you should look at the Dell Optiplex 3020 Micro's. We have them under all the conferences room 70" Tvs in the data center. They are running linux for us but work fine with windows as well. We don't use skype as we have a cisco telepresense system but I think it would do just fine with that.

@thecreativeone91 The main issue/the point which force me to choose a mac is the fact that we have several users who work keynote files for presentation rather than PPT and needs to be shared during the Skype call. If it was for just skype call, I would like to get Logitech TV Cam HD which I am planning to get for our mini conference rooms, that only needs Skype for video/voice calls and no presentations.
