RAID 1 at HP Proliant DL160 P G5

Hi All,
I have tried to install RAID 1 in the HP proliant DL160 G5 server. I enabled RAID properties in BIOS. Then I have inserted two 250 GB Hard Disk(SATA). Then I have configured the RAID 1 by creating the Array. Then after that I went to the properties of Array of the hard disk and mentioned the RAID 1 and there is a option Create RAID via. I selected the option as "Build" from the three options. The other options are Clear and Quick Init. After building of the Array of 3 Hours.I took the server and tried to install Windows Server 2008 Server. When I tried to install the Hard disk is not shown in the console of OS installation. Then, I saw the BIOS to see the Hard disk but it does not show the hard disk. When I start the server it Shows the RAID option that two harddisk are present. How to overcome from this issue? Can anyone help me?

If two drives are shown, this means that there is no RAID. What RAID controller do you have in the Proliant DL160 G5?

So I am checking out the HP Proliant DL160 G5 QuickSpecs and the only RAID controller for that box (as a DL100 series, this is not a box meant for businesses to be running as a standalone server, this is meant to be a disposable cluster node, I hope some business didn't buy this to use as a traditional server), and it is optional, is the SC40Ge.
The SC40Ge is just listed as an HBA, but it does "have RAID" on it. Unlike HP SmartArray adapters, which are made by Adaptec, this is an LSI Host Bus Adapter. It is the LSI SAS3042EL rebranded.
Given this unit has no processor listed and no memory, it appears to be Fake RAID, which is what we would expect given your description of what happened (see two drives after setting up RAID.) This is a warning that you do should not be using this as a production server.

In order for Windows to be able to create the RAID for you (that's what FakeRAID means, there is no actual RAID from what you have done, you have only marked the system to enable RAID later in Windows - the controller itself makes no RAID) you need the drivers that contain the RAID software. You will need to optionally load these when you are installing Windows.

I have configured the RAID 1 by installing the Windows Server 2008 32 Bit OS.How to find the RAID components in the server 2008.How to add new hard disk with the server and after removing one of the hard disk from the server.I need to synchronize the data into the hard disk.How to check the synchronisation is completed properly after adding the new harddisk after removing the hard disk from the server?Can anyone help me?
